BREAKING NEWS | Signed, Sealed, Laminated!

By Jay Taylor

We are delighted to announce the signing of forward Lamin Colley following a successful trial with the club.

The experienced striker caught the eye after playing a handful of games in pre-season scoring three goals along the way.

Both parties were always interested in doing a deal but an injury sustained to the player halted progress.

“It feels great, I’m happy to have signed and I’m very excited for the season ahead” said the former Stockport County man.

Colley has also featured for Bradford Park Avenue, Boston United and is looking to use his experience to help the team.

“It was unfortunate I picked up a knee injury a week before the start of the season but I’m back fit now and can’t wait to get going.”

Assistant Manager Simon Collins expressed how pleased he was to get the deal done in time for the weekend.

“It’s good to finally have Lamin at our disposal” said Collins.

“He gives us something different in our forward line; he’s quick, powerful and has a real eye for goal so hopefully he can do well for us.”

Colley goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Bamber Bridge and is likely to make his official club debut.

Welcome, officially to the club, Lamin!
