Josh was the stand-out player from last season’s debut campaign in the Evo-Stik after coming away with both Players’ Player and Supporters Player of the Year.

Barrett featured more than any other player last season making 48 appearances for the club scoring three goals, missing just five games all season, an outstanding return.

“I’m delighted to sign another year for this great club” said Barrett.

The development and progression made by the newly-moulded defender has been nothing short of remarkable. Starting off at the club six years ago as a lean winger/forward, now transforming admirably into a tough, solid centre-back.

“Hopefully we can go on to achieve bigger and better things under Mikey & Si next season” Barrett concluded.

“I am really pleased that we have managed to get Josh signed up” said assistant manager Simon Collins.

“He was without doubt the club’s most consistent performer last year winning both Supporters Player and Players’ Player awards.”
