The imposing central midfielder made 36 appearances in his first season with the Brewers finishing with five assists and two goals to his name.

The Taddy faithful quickly took to the player nicknaming him the ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’ for his elegant playing style and lengthy free-flowing hair.

“I really enjoyed my time last year and feel like the club is going in the right direction” started Davidson.

“Mikey and Si have made some good signings so far and hopefully we can build on last year and go one better and achieve promotion.”

“Last season was always going to be difficult with a lot of new faces and a new management team but once the lads gelled and got round to playing the way Mikey and Si want I think it showed on the pitch.”

“We were unlucky to lose to Bamber Bridge in the play-off semi-final but our objectives for next season have to be promotion and with the players we’ve signed and the lads from last year we are more than capable.”

Taddy boss Michael Morton believes the midfielder can get even better after a terrific first season at the club.

“We are thrilled that Pete has committed to another season with us, he’s a player that we admire massively and we aren't surprised he became a fans favourite too because he’s a top character amongst the group.”
