We are pleased to announce that Jake Rose is in the plans for next season as he sets his sights on a return.

The combative and tough-tackling central midfielder picked up a serious knee injury back in a pre-season friendly at Garforth Town which has ruled him out for over a year.

Rose is looking forward to teaming up alongside some of his former Hull City teammates in Mitch Langton and Fraser Papprill.

“Mikey rang me and told me I was in his plans for next year which is great” said Rose.

“It’s good to have his and Si’s support considering how much I missed in the season due to injury.”

“After the season we had getting into the play-off semi-finals it shows what quality we have in the side.”

“In regards to myself it has been so hard watching from the stands, it has not been easy not being amongst the lads and training etc. In the past few months I have worked very hard on my knee itself and my overall fitness on my own and with physios pushing myself for next season.”

“I will be back running and joining in with ball work in the first day of pre-season however it will be non-contact the first few weeks.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting back with the lads and it’s a fresh start for me but I will be back fitter, stronger and raring to go.”

“Finally I just want to thank both Mikey & Si, the staff, the players and the fans for their kind words of support in the past few months.”

Welcome back, Jake.
