Tadcaster Albion Football Club are delighted to announce that defender Josh Barrett has agreed to stay with the club for the 2018/19 season.

Fans favourite Barrett made 44 appearances last season and was an integral part of the defence that kept an impressive 17 clean sheets. The pacey centre-back who will kick-off his sixth season with the Brewers in August also chipped in with three goals last year.

Josh Barrett on committing to another season with the Brewers;

“Signing for Taddy again was a no brainer for me, I really enjoyed playing under Mikey and Si last season it was just a shame we fell short in the play-offs but I have no doubt we can do it next year.”

“Objectives for next year are hitting automatic promotion, if not then play-offs as well as being the most dominant team in the league.”

“I am already excited to get going next season, I have been given the opportunity to play for a club that is close to my heart with great supporters.”

Manager Michael Morton on securing the defender for another season;

“We are delighted to secure Josh’s services for another year, he had a brilliant season once again last year and he is a massive part of our plans moving forward.”

Barrett becomes the second player to commit to next season after goalkeeper Michael Ingham pledged his future to the club.

Player sponsorship is now available for £100 – email info@tadalbion.com to enquire
