Rovers, who are managed by Darren Ferguson, son of Sir Alex Ferguson and Assistant Manager Gavin Strachan, son of Gordon Strachan will be a stern test for the Brewers.

The newly promoted Sky Bet League One side will travel to Ings Lane on Saturday 15th July with a 3:00pm kick-off.

The fixture will also see us welcome former Brewer and i2i Academy player Alfie Beestin back to the i2i stadium in what will undoubtedly be a brilliant day for the club.

This is the first but will certainly not be the last high-profile pre-season friendly announced.
