Joel had a spell at the i2i before moving up to play for Blyth Spartans and incidentally was part of the side that reached the FA Cup Third around against Birmingham City.

Dixon has also featured for Scarborough Athletic, Ossett Town and Goole AFC and is a very versatile player able to play central midfield, central defence or right-back.

"Once I met with Mikey & Si and they shared with me the plans, the vision and the progression they are looking for it was something I knew would suit me really well."
