Missed the final game on Saturday? See what manager Billy Miller had to say in his programme notes.

And so we finish our first ever season as proud members at step 4 of the non-league pyramid.

Full of emotion, ups and downs as well as some memorable moments.

It was never going to be easy, adjusting to life at this level is tough. Whilst the results have not always gone our way I still feel the club is progressing in the right direction.

The style of football on display I feel has developed to accommodate a much quicker, aggressive game. Players in this league are fitter, faster and chances are born out of hard work.

Chances are few and far between and teams pounce and punish every mistake which takes time to adjust to. I felt it was important that we gave the squad the chance to develop and adapt to the challenges.

Now as the season comes to an end we will take stock, reflect and consider the type of team we feel will continue to ensure the club progresses. Outside of match days everything else has increased; time spent training, scouting and preparing has increased two fold.

There is now a need to look inwards and ensure we can meet these challenges head on.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to my fellow managers, I enjoy a very good relationship with all of them.

Each one has over the course of the season offered advice about a team we might be playing or I have been able to offer them advice. It is a very unique club is the management circle and I have been extremely proud to represent us within it.

The players have represented the club extremely well; discipline has remained high in games. Each one of them has given their best to help us establish ourselves at this level of football. I would like to personally thank them all.

Finally I would like to thank you, the fans. Good football fans follow their club through thick and thin. Yes they have opinions, and yes they voice them now and again, but they always support their team.

Our league attendance averages for a town of Tadcaster’s size has been exceptional and a real credit to you all. I have made some very good friends this season, thank you for all your support.

I hope to be able to build on our start at this level and with your support we can look forward to some exciting times ahead.

Have a great summer.

Billy
