Defender Josh Barrett has been out of action for almost two months but is eyeing a return before the season concludes.

Taddy’s longest serving player took the decision in 2018 to book in for an operation on his troubling shoulder in order to come back fitter and stronger.

The 2016/17 Supporters Player & Players’ Player of the Year hasn’t featured since the goalless draw at AFC Mansfield back on January 5th but is on track with his recovery after a successful operation.

“Rehab is going really well” said Barrett.

“I’m seeing Lucy every week and it’s feeling a lot better, I’m continuing to strengthen all the muscles around my shoulder which has seen me get back a lot more movement.”

Head physiotherapist Lucy Lendhill has stated that the versatile defender is recuperating well and will make a comeback before the end of the season.

We are looking forward to seeing Josh back on the pitch!
